Job Description:

Inpatient Pharmacist

FT; Mon-Fri, 6:00a-7:00p

Weekends and Holidays 7:00a-3:00p

*This position will work a rotating schedule with equally shared responsibilities for weekends, holidays and call*

The Inpatient pharmacist is responsible for reviewing and interpreting providers’ orders for all medications, and screening for therapeutic incompatibilities. The pharmacist will assist with the monitoring of drug therapy, with an emphasis on chemotherapy. The pharmacist will be responsible for providing and educating on drug information to physicians, mid-level providers and other clinical staff. The pharmacist will be responsible for oversight of technician staff as it relates to sterile intravenous compounding, including chemotherapy and TPN, medication refilling, and unit dose drug preparations. The pharmacist will participate in quality improvement projects with an emphasis on patient safety and participate in multi-disciplinary initiatives as requested

Required Education/Experience

  • Graduate of an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy 
  • Licenses by the Oklahoma State Board of Pharmacy
  • Bachelor degree in Pharmacy; Pharm D preferred 
  • Minimum on 2 years institutional pharmacy experience or strong interest in institutional and oncology pharmacy
